Deadliest Catch Test Effect – Photoshop Tutorial

Deadliest Catch Text Effect.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 500×300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with white color. Now create a new layer and draw a large white rectangle then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Pattern Overlay blending option. Then grab the Eraser Tool with a large soft brush and erase the sides of your white rectangle so the icy background fades into the white background.

Step 2:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool then set the font family to Calisto MT, bold , 90 pt, strong and #022644 color shade. In a new text layer type your name on the icy background.

Step 3:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Pattern Overlay blending options to your text layer.

Step 4:

In a new text layer type your name with a white color shade, same position as shown below.

Step 5:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow blending option to your white text layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Darken.
