Simple General Content Box – Photoshop Tutorial

In this Photoshop tutorial we’re going to design a simple general content box using Adobe Photoshop.

After following this tutorial, you will make something like image below.


Let’s start.

Start out by making a blank document.
Draw a Rounded Rectangle with 12px Radius and Resterize it (right click the rounded rectangle layer and click Rasterize Layer).

Select the layer and double click on it in order to open Layer Style dialog box and apply following settings.

Drop Shadow

Color Overlay

Stroke

Here’s the result.

Now, Select the layer in layer panel and press Ctrl+G to move the layer into a group.
Click “Add layer mask” Icon in layers panel while “group 1″ is selected in order to add a layer mask

.

Select a black to white gradient and apply it as shown below.

Here’s the result.
