Deep Sea Header Design.

Step 1:
Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 900×400 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with #001430 color shade. In a new layer draw a long rectangle with #371E07 color shade and 520 x 58 px dimensions.

Step 2:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay and Pattern Overlay blending options to your long rectangle layer.

Step 3:
Create a new layer and merge it with the wooden layer. Now rotate the wooden rectangle as shown below and add a smaller wooden rectangle behind it. Then cut out small gaps on the sides of the wooden rectangles.

Step 4:
Select the Horizontal Type Tool then set the font family to Arial, bold, 17 pt, smooth and white color shade. In a new text layer type your navigation links on the large wooden rectangle. Then in a new text layer add your rss feed or any link you want on the small wooden rectangle using font Arial, bold 16 pt, smooth and #FF6000 color shade.

Step 5:
Create a new layer, using the Ellipse Tool draw random white clouds all over the header design.

Step 6:
Create a new layer set and name it ‘Bubbles’. Now grab the Custom Shape Tool and select the circle thin frame shape. Then in a new layer draw a white circle thin frame and set the layer’s opacity level to 12%.

Step 7:
In a new layer draw a small white circle with 13 x 13 px dimensions.

Step 8:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow blending option to your small white layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Darken.

Step 9:
Add bubbles everywhere by duplicating the layer set.

Step 10:
Select the Horizontal Type Tool then set the font family to Broadway, regular, 36 pt, smooth and #006EF8 color shade. In a new text layer type your website name on the left side of the header.

Step 11:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your website text layer.
