Shattered Text Effect.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 600×500 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with black. Now make a new layer set and name it ‘Shattered’.

Select the Horizontal Type Tool then set the font family to Bernard MT Condensed, 90 pt, smooth and #4E4E4E color shade. In a new text layer type your website name on the canvas

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Pattern Overlay blending options to your gray text layer.

Step 3:

In a new text layer type out your name with the same settings from step one. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Pattern Overlay blending option. Now set the layer’s opacity level to 63%.

Step 4:

Now merge down your ‘Shattered’ layer set through Layer > Merge Layer Set. Then Sharpen the text design through Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen More.

Step 5:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow blending option to your text design layer.
