The objective with this tutorial is to be able to highlight and change the color of hair by adding some highlights. In this scenario, we'll change this girl to have purple hair like a "Rocker" chick. Start by opening an image. |

Select feathered brush tool and press Q to enable quick masking. Apply the brush only in hair area. |

| Press Q again to disable quick masking. |
 |
| Press Ctrl+Shift+I to inverse the selection. |
 |
| Press Ctrl+J to copy the selection in new layer. Press Ctrl+U to open hue/saturation window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Select eraser tool and start erasing the outer area. |

| Duplicate the layer and change the layer mode to saturation. |
