| Start off by making a new Photoshop document with dimensions of 740x550, and light green (DFEDEA) background. Create a light blue (C0E3E8) rectangle and create a linear gradient, using blue (87C6E1) for the foreground color and green 85F7CB) for the background |

| Create a rectangular selection below the gradient (image a) and then zoom in to 300% magnification. Create a linear gradient on a new layer, using light grey (F9F9F9) for the foreground color and a darker tone (D4D4D4) for the background color. |

| Create another linear gradient just below, using dark grey (C3C3C3) for the foreground and a lighter tone (DBDBDB) for the background color. The remainder of this part will show you how to create a standard FGD logo, but you can go to [Part 2] if you want to skip this and make your own. |

| Create some text using these setting, make a new layer above it and then create a linear gradient, using light yellow for the foreground color (FAEA92) and orange (FE995F) for the background color. Fill another new layer with brown (BFA933). |

| Feather (select > feather) the selection by 3, contract (select > modify >contract) it by 6, and delete the selected area. Select the text again, expand (select > modify > expand) the selection by 4, and fill a new layer below with dark blue (1198B6). |
