3D Text Effect

In this tutorial you'll learn how to create an easy 3D effect for your text in Adobe Photoshop.

1. Open a new document. Pick the Text tool IPB Image and click where you want to type in your document.
For this effect it's better to use a wide font, like Arial Black or Impact.
This will be our front text layer.

2. Duplicate this text layer (Layer >> Duplicate >> Layer or Ctrl + J). Select the text, change its color to a darker one and bring it below the original layer.
This layer is going to be our base one, so we need it under the front layer.
On the layer pallete, drag the base layer below the front one.

Now you only should see your front text layer again.

3. To move the base layer, select the move tool IPB Image. We are going to use the arrow keys in your keyboard to make the movement more accurate.
So press 'down arrow' key 5 times. And then, 'left arrow' key 5 times.
You'll get something like this:
