Blood Dripping Text Effect

Create a blood dripping text effect
Start by typing your text.
Press Q and enable quick mask.
From filter menu apply distort>>glass.
Apply settings as shown.
Press Q and disable quick mask. Hide the text layer.
Create a new layer and fill the selection with red color.
From filter menu select liquify.
Select forward warp tool.
Drag the bottom portion of the text downwards to create the dripping effect of the blood.
Apply bevel&emboss layer style using following settings.

    I’m with Abbie and Gary. The purpose of a tutorial is to learn something we couldn’t otherwise learn on our own - Toes. Perhaps the tutorial could have added another step or two. Was well written and the steps were easy to follow, just is missing a few.

    This is good, you kinda have to think for yourself for some of the steps but it work…
    Nice Tutorial…
    It is missing a few steps I believe…
    I used this tutorial to make something for one of my friends.

    very cool. never tried playing with bloody style text. Mine is a little more waxy than bloody, but I like it.

    tnx dude! i got it rigt but something is missing, here’s the missing step. After enabling the quick mask, use the magic wand tool to select the letters, the continue to distort. You can finish it now.

    I didnt get this at all seriosly man, i think those of us that cant do this mess up in the begining when ur suppose to free the mask by pressing q for me it doesn´t get red it all stays the same, later when i apply the glass nothing happens, help?
