Page(s): Design a Glossy Talk Bubble

In this tutorial, we're going to make a 3D glossy talk bubble.

Start the tutorial by creating a new blank document with white background. Choose the following shape (Talk 1) using Custom Shape Tool.

Draw a talk bubble and Resterize it (right click the bubble layer and click Rasterize Layer).

Now, Select the bubble layer and double click on it in order to open Layer Style dialog box. Go to Gradient overlay section and set following settings.
For this tutorial, I've used gray to white. Feel free to use your favorite colours.

Your result should be something like this:

We're going to extrude the talk bubble. Well, make a copy of the layer (duplicate it) and press CTRL + G to move it into a group.

While the copied layer (shape 1 copy) is selected, Hold Alt key down and hit the Right arrow key around 20 times.
Here's an image of Layers panel.

OK, now click on "Group 1" in the Layers panel and press CTRL + E to merge the group.
Select the merged layer and double click on it in order to open Layer Style dialog box. Go to Color Overlay and apply the following color with 100% opacity.

Result:

Select Shape 1, the first layer in Layers Panel, Hold down Ctrl and click on it to obtain a selection.

Create a new layer and go to Edit > Stroke...

Let's add the glossy effect to the bubble. Create a new layer and make a selection as I've done below.

On the new layer add a smooth white to transparent gradient.

Select Group 1 layer and CTRL+Click the layer to obtain a selection. Next, hold down CTRL+ALT and click on Shape 1 layer.
This is for selecting the edge of the bubble.

Now, create a new layer, choose a soft brush (use white color) and click on shown areas.

Change the new layer opacity.

The final result.

Enjoy!
